The Tutbury Band is a Wind Band based in the beautiful East Staffordshire village of Tutbury near Burton on Trent. Formed in 1980, The Tutbury Band is one of the largest community bands in the UK having a combined membership of around 150 musicians across Tutbury Band, Tutbury Junior Band and Tutbury Training Band.

The Tutbury Band performs at a variety of events including: summer shows, festivals, fetes, as well as more formal concerts in venues ranging from Burton Town Hall to Strathpeffer Pavillion in the Highlands of Scotland and the Carrickmacross Twins festival in Ireland! Tutbury Band has been privileged to receive 5 pairs of Premier ticket vouchers, a generous gesture by Northern Racing, to any Uttoxeter Race Course Meeting throughout the 2012 season. A Premier ticket allows access to all public areas of the racecourse, plus the Premier Bar, Silks Restaurant and Premier Viewing Grandstand which has the best views of the finishing line.

There are now 2 pairs of tickets remaining so be quick and get your bids in. This auction finishes in time to get to the next big race meeting “Bank Holiday Big Day Out” on Sunday 3rd June.

Northern Racing is one of the largest racecourse groups in the UK, owning and operating ten racecourses across England and Wales. In 2011 they welcomed almost one million people through their gates and staged 16 per cent of all the UK’s horseracing fixtures.

The Committee has decided to invite all band members, and their families, to send in bids for a pair of tickets. These will then go to the highest bidders. Each pair of tickets will require a separate bid.

All proceeds raised will go towards band funds.

The Committee works very hard to get as much funding as possible, in order to keep the band subscriptions affordable to all members. Funding also gives an important contribution towards the cost of new music, social activities and other band essentials.
